The HBA Executive is proud to announce that HBA President, Dan Edwards, has won the Pearson Dunn Insurance Inc. Distinguished Sport Volunteer Award!

This award is presented to individuals nominated for a minimum of a 10 year contribution to sport in the community.

For the past several years, Dan Edwards has been an HBA coach, member of the Executive Committee and the HBA President.

Dan received this award at the 32nd Annual Sport Volunteer Appreciation Dinner, held at the Hamilton Convention Centre on September 27th, 2018.

We are so proud of Dan and his tireless efforts to bring the joy of basketball to Hamilton youth. Congratulations Dan on this well-deserved achievement!

Hello HBA Players, Coaches, Families and Fans,

We hope that you are doing well! It’s hard to believe that May is just around the corner.

And with spring, comes the 3×3 at McMaster!

The details for the tournament are noted below:

Date: June 22, 2019

Divisions this year include:
- U10-U18 Boy’s/Girl’s Recreational
- 18+ Men’s/Women’s/Co-Ed Recreational
- 18+ Men’s/Women’s*(NEW) Elite

Costs:
- U10-18+ Recreational divisions are $180/team (up to 4 players)
- 18+ Elite divisions are $240/team (up to 4 players)

What you get:
- McMaster 3×3 jersey
- minimum 4 games per team
- Prize for division winners
- Elite division winners get entry into the Canada Quest East Final on August 17th and 18th in Montreal

Hello HBA players, coaches, families and fans,

It’s hard to believe that another season is over! It’s been a great season, with lots of exciting games, amazing sportsmanship, and new friends and happy memories made.

Congratulations to all the teams and coaches! The championship games this weekend were awesome and we saw some amazing teamwork, great passes and killer shots. We have seen the players grow and develop their skills over the past several months. A great job by everyone!

Thank you to the players for bringing their enthusiasm and efforts to the practices and games. Thank you to the coaches for their commitment and guidance. Thank you to the families and fans for supporting the players, the teams, the coaches and the HBA. Everyone plays an important role and we are grateful for you all. You all have made this a wonderful experience and we hope that you enjoyed it as much as we did.
